Pete Kavanagh is a singer-songwriter from Co. Kildare.
His debut album ‘Join Up the Dots’ was voted ‘Best Irish Album’ in 2022 by Americana and Roots Music magazine/podcast ‘Lonesome Highway’. His debut single 'To hold the Red Rose' reached the semi finals of the prestigious International Songwriter Competition in the 'Americana' category and judges included Tom Waits, Irma Thomas & Tanya Tucker.
Pete's poignant ballad 'Darkness Before Dawn', has been recorded by the legendary Christy Moore and features on Christy’s latest album A Terrible Beauty.

Pete is currently recording new songs and performing a series of low-key, intimate gigs nationwide. His performance includes originals and some choice covers from Bob Dylan, Christy Moore, Leonard Cohen, Richard Thompson and more.
